First of all we have to understand what is lean gains.In lean gains carbohydrates intake in medium and protien intake is high.
Milk contains all the healthy nutrients macro as well as micros. But for lean gains carbohydrates and fat should be less. 
In 100gm of milk contains about 4gms of protien ,5gms of carbohydrates, 1gm of fat , and sugar in form of lactose some people can't digest lactose.
The whey protein and casien protien are the two types of protein in the milk.
Whey protein is often consisdered as the best quality protien.Protien quality quality is the digestibility and quantity of essential amino acids for providing the proteins in correct ratios for human consumption.
The rating of whey and casien protien are even higher than the egg whites and chicken breast.


Coming on the point for lean gainers is milk healthy for them is off course yes, Yes milk is healthy for the lean gainers but a 1cup serving a day is enough taking milk can raise the quantity of daily carbohydrates and sugar intake so if the diet plan includes milk then other products should be managed for the carbohydrates and fat intake.I will prefer low fat milk is more effective . For the athletes at their peak week should avoid the milk but the rest of the time the milk is good for health and does not affect the lean gains in any possible way .

Everyone should take milk except the ones who have digestive issues.
Meanwhile milk is good for health and does not effect ur gains.
